Chuck and Jim Jr. spent a few hours this evening fishing for Catfish tonight below the dam at Vincentown Lake. Both anglers were able to land (1) very small Catfish each. They ran out of light due to the recent DST change, so they had to pack it in early tonight.

Chuck and Jim Jr. fished the outgoing high tide tonight. Jim Jr. managed to boat (2) Largemouth Bass. The first was fairly small, but the second LMB hit hard, almost pulling the rod out of his hand. Both were landed successfully. The air temps were low and the water was high due to recent rains.

Jim Jr. and Liz took some time to stalk the Chain Pickerel this afternoon. They found a couple, but neither had much success hooking any of them. Jim Jr. did manage to hook one small one close to shore, but that was the extend of their success today.

The man, the myth, the legend - Chuck Horner put on a clinic last night on how to catch large Pickerel. After starting off slow with an average sized Pickerel, Chuck ended the night on Oswego Lake by catching (2) 2 1/2lb. class fish. Jim Jr. caught (2) small Pickerel tonight, but it was Chuck that was definitely dialed in on the big fish.

Chuck pulled a Team Horner Fishing Slam last night at Batsto Lake. He successfully landed (1) Largemouth Bass, (1) Crappie, and (3) Pickerel. Not to be outdone, Jim Jr. landed (3) Largemouth Bass and (4) Pickerel, including a colorful 'Cedar Bass'. The water is starting to cool down so there may not be many more nights like this again.

Jim Jr. and Chuck headed south to Hammonton Lake this afternoon. Jim Jr. caught (9) small Chain Pickerel and lost a few more. Chuck caught a mixed bag of Chain Pickerel and Largemouth Bass. Wacky rigged worms and topwater lures were the trick today.

Chuck and Jim Jr. braved the cold wind in an effort to find some fish - they weren't disappointed. Jim Jr. caught all of his fish on topwater baits tonight, (4) Largemouth Bass, (1) Chain Pickerel, and even a Crappie. Chuck caught his share as well, landing a Largemouth Bass and several Chain Pickerel.

Chuck took Jim Jr. out on a lake he's never been on tonight, the lake side of the Vincentown dam. Both anglers each caught a bass and pickerel with Chuck ending the night catching one of his favorites...a chunky catfish.

Jim Jr. and Chuck met up for a little catfish fishing tonight. Jim Jr. got skunked, but Chuck is a catfish catching machine. Chuck successfully landed (5) cats tonight, including the largest freshwater catfish that either angler has ever seen in person - a true monster that we named 'Jumbo'.

Jim Jr. and Chuck went back to the spot that really fired them up this year, but it just wasn't happening tonight. Jim Jr. caught a single fish and that was that. Hopefully next time out there will be better.

Chuck and Jim Jr. set out to battle the wind tonight...I mean fish. Both anglers had success tonight boating a hand-full of Chain Pickerel each. The key tonight was fishing the isolated weed lines.

Jim Jr. and Liz borrowed a canoe tonight and went out to Oswego Lake in search of some Chain Pickerel. Liz had a ton of hits but those sneaky fish would not let her hook them tonight. Jim Jr. ended up landing (1) lively Pickerel just before they called it a night.

Jim Jr. and Chuck fished at Batsto Lake this evening. Despite the breezy conditions created by Hurricane Jose off the New Jersey coast, the boys managed to find the fish. Chuck hooked several large Pickerel, but was only able to land one. Both anglers caught their share (Chuck - 8, Jim Jr. - 4) of smaller fish as well, including a Black Crappie for each.

Jim Jr. set out alone this afternoon for some solo fishing. After hiking in, he wasn't disappointed. Jim Jr. landed numerous small Chain Pickerel, (2) 18" class fish, and (1) 24" @ 3 lbs. to round out the day.

Jim Jr. and Chuck went back to Oswego this evening for a few hours of fishing before dark. Chuck managed to catch a real, good Pickerel on a soft plastic swim bait while trolling. Both anglers caught their share of fish this evening with Chuck catching (4) and Jim Jr. catching (8). Wind made fishing a bit difficult at first, but right before dark the lake became glassy calm.

Jim Jr. and Chuck went out in search of some more Chain Pickerel this morning. Despite the wind and rain, both anglers were able to find fish. There were no real monsters, but there Jim Jr. was able to land a respectable sized fish.

Jim Jr. and Chris Perrone haven't fished together in over a decade. Thankfully the rust didn't stop them from finding the fish today. Jim Jr. chalked up (5) fish while Chris was able to locate and land (1) more. Another day, another big fish. No complaints here...except for the rain that chased both anglers to take cover and end the day early.

A tough day of afternoon fishing left Jim Jr. and Chuck searching for the magic bait. Only a few fish were caught today, but both Jim Jr. and Chuck managed to each catch at least one. Jim Jr. was fortunate enough to land a good specimen to keep their big fish record going.

Jim Jr. and Liz went out for a little late afternoon fishing today. While both anglers were greeted by a coyote at the beginning of the trip, they each landed a fish of their own. The coyotes decided to sing a little tune while Jim Jr. and Liz finished out the day and loaded up to go home.

Jim Jr. and Chuck went in search of large Chain Pickerel again this morning. They each landed and released some healthy fish today. Jim Jr. caught (2) large Pickerel while Chuck racked up another big fish to his credit. Each angler caught some smaller fish as the action was lively all morning.

Jim Jr., Liz, and Chuck Horner all headed out to some new waters for some of the group. It didn't disappoint. Jim and Chuck both caught their best fish of the year with Chuck catching a pair of his own. Jim and Chuck each caught (6) other fish to round out the day. Liz captured almost of the fish in photos today. Thanks Liz!!

Jim Jr. and Chuck traveled north in a quest for Largemouth Bass. They were successful at Stone Tavern today. Storms passed through this area the day before presenting a difficult post-storm bite for both anglers. What fish they did find seemed to be drawn to Jim Jr. as Chuck was skunked today. Chuck did manage to net all the bass that Jim Jr. could bring to the boat - Thanks Chuck! Jim Jr. caught a total of (3) Largemouth and had another throw the hook with the help of the aerial acrobatics. All-in-all, it was a good day.

Chuck and Jim Jr. fished a private pond in Shamong this afternoon. After a relatively slow start, both anglers caught a good share of fish. Chuck managed to land (4) Chain Pickerel and (3) Largemouth Bass while Jim Jr. caught (3) Chain Pickerel, (2) Largemouth Bass, and (1) White Crappie.

Jim Jr. and Liz fished the bogs again this morning. Jim Jr. caught his best Pickerel at the bogs today after catching quite a few smaller fish on previous visits. Both Liz and Jim Jr. had several bites, but only the lone hookup.

One word can be used to describe this lake - terrible Avoid this lake like the plague. Improper management of water levels and just all-around abuse has created a body of water that is nearly impossible to fish. Jim Jr., Liz, and Chuck Horner tried to fish this lake today and were greeted with nothing but slop, sludge, and muck. It's not worth it. You would have a better chance of catching a disease than a fish in this lake.

Jim Jr. and Chuck decided to try some early morning fishing at Lake Oswego this morning. It did not disappoint. Chain Pickerel was the name of the game today with Chuck catching multiple fish early in the day. After having problems with poor quality leader material, Jim Jr. finally got on the board with quite a few fish of his own. All in all, it was a good day on the lake.
